Bottom bar
One of the things that is available from LGForum is the bar which I have currently added to the bottom of the forum. LG has kindly provided a sort of blank version of the bar which doesn't do anything yet, it's just to see how it looks style wise.
When pressed, these buttons would sort of bring up a little box above the button with what it is. Like My Thanks might bring up the last few thanks you've received and would change colour when a new thank is received.
Chat would be a new chatbox which would be a little different and would actually allow chatbox PM's aswell which is cool. This would replace the chatbox on the forum page and would allow people to use the chatbox wherever they want and not just on that one page. (this is requested a lot)
For Otacon, I've had to put all the HTML in one announcement because the top announcement was overriding all of them.
Let me know what you think of this.

Re: Bottom bar
thats really cool actually .. but portal has been messed up a bit.. it has pushed the signup up area down.. pushing stuff underneath further down.

Re: Bottom bar
It has been changed by doing this:
#slideshow_content
{
width: 715px;
height: 20px;
float: left;
}
the 500px height was causing the gap.
Also this: (in the announcement)
<style>
#main_content
{
width: 100%;
height: 500px;
background-color: transparent !important;
background-image: none !important;
}
</style>
the height was around 900px which created a huge gap there.

Re: Bottom bar
hmm I don't remember having 900px height lol.. kinda odd would expect it to push the other div tag to the next line when the width for slideshow_content is too big

Yeah, I sent a quick PM to LG. He also said that you should avoid using fixed heights as it causes issues like that, let the elements scale themselves regarding the content.
Re: Bottom bar
Question: does that mean there will be two chat boxes? One on the forum page and the bottom one for friends/private msgs?

It'll just be the bottom. Homepage is looking nice!
