Top area and Menu
You will notice that I have been working on the Top area and Menu to look like that psd file. This is the code that achieved this [you will find it under Modules > Javascript codes management > Bar
The above code places on top of everything on the page, in the sense that if I was to increase the height [to 100%] of the top with a grey area.. you would only see grey on the entire page. This basically means [ Neymar ] , the section you worked on yesterday that has the logo is still there but its underneath the new top area. So if I had increased the top area by say 40px it would cover the navigation menu that's currently there at the moment. The next step I will be working on is
from what I can see, it will mean copying the current navbar html code into the javascript section at the beginning of the post.. then having to write all the CSS for that. Its not really an issue, and I suppose it can be done although might take a while to identify which sections really need to be copied etc. So if anyone has a better plan of implementing this, lemme know before I start working on that menu/navigation.
- Code:
$(function(){
$('#wrap').before('
<div id="topbar">
<div id="topbar_logo">
<div class="text"></div>
<div class="fbtw"><a href="http://simplyt.forumotion.co.uk"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/mRHTX.png" /></a></div>
</div>
</div>
');
});
$(function(){
$('#wrap').before('
<div id="topbar2">
<div id="navbar_container">
</div>
</div>
');
});

menu behaviour is working fine (partly).. ie the hover event changing into red. If you see it not working properly on other links, its because I am still trying to fix the active state of the link. Which is, when you click on Home.. that should stay red for as long as you are on that page and so on.

The new navbar isn't showing for me when on topics or when looking at threads in the 'test site talk' section or when posting or anything.
It's only showing in the forum index and on the homepage actually,

yeah that's intentional.. I was juss looking for some specific behaviour when I set it that way.. will change it to appear in all pages later on

I have found how to add our own text in the menu.. so will be scrapping the nav bar.. that you had labelled "future navbar" .. you will see an extra link titled "FORUM" thats out of place.. dont mind that.. its juss to remind me that I have to fix this.

Re: Top area and Menu
This removed it: (from LG)
ul.navlinks {
border: none;
}
Its the bottom border of the '.navlinks' element. Its only appearing on the right side because the actual links on your navbar are covering it on the left side. See how the white bit starts at the end of all the link?
